Our first creation was supposed to be a giraffe. Admittedly, in some lights it closely resembles an armadillo.
Here are the finished products. My favorite was the turtle (lime head inside a cantaloupe body).
We're looking forward to more story time crafts!

Those are cute! Our kid's school has posters in the cafeteria with these food animals--I didn't know there was a book!
