Jared's lab at UF was kind enough to host an outing to nearby Rainbow Springs at the end of August. The water temperature is a balmy(!) 72 degrees year round. It took a little coaxing to get the girls and Jared and into the water (Zach and Kristi jumped right in, teeth chattering), but we all enjoyed a dip in the fresh clear water.
After a potluck lunch, we explored the nature trails around the springs. We were thrilled to discover a few beautiful waterfalls.

Back to School
This is our first year with two kids in school! The girls had their first day of school on August 19th. Anwyn is in third grade, and Lily started kindergarten.
To celebrate the start of a new year, we had a special breakfast. Lily was thrilled with colored pancakes.

Graduation
At the end of June, Jared completed his internship at Duke. He had a really good year and gained valuable experience.
Then we moved to Florida, and Jared was able to participate in the graduation ceremonies at the University of Florida.
After 26 years of school, Jared completed his PhD in Clinical Neuropsychology. He had previously defended his dissertation titled "Verbal Memory in Non-demented Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease: A Structural MRI and Quantitative White Matter Tractography Analysis." We are so proud of all of his hard work. Way to go!

Doesn't he look great?!
Before the ceremony, the kids and I had little time to say hello to the gators on campus.
Even the football stadium gave its congratulations.
