Rainbow Springs
Jared's lab at UF was kind enough to host an outing to nearby Rainbow Springs at the end of August. The water temperature is a balmy(!) 72 degrees year round. It took a little coaxing to get the girls and Jared and into the water (Zach and Kristi jumped right in, teeth chattering), but we all enjoyed a dip in the fresh clear water.
After a potluck lunch, we explored the nature trails around the springs. We were thrilled to discover a few beautiful waterfalls.

Not as cold as Chin Lake in May or June. That is how we judge all swimming water. If it is colder than Chin, don't get in! Fun pics
