Our growing baby boy and the first haircut

Zach is a fun baby boy. Being the third child, he unfortunately hasn't had nearly enough pictures taken to document his cuteness. But here are some of our favorite shots from the last few months.
Zach loves to play (er...pound on) the piano. Future pianist in the making!
He has really been enjoying his bath time lately, which is usually a shared experience with one of his sisters.

 Standing up!

Zach started crawling at 10 months old. It was an exciting family home evening when he suddenly started crawling across the floor! Now he moves pretty quick across the floor, and is happy to explore when he isn't thwarted by his big sister Lily.

Lily really loves to hold Zach. So much so that Jared coined a new phrase:
Liliphobia: a very rational fear of one's older sister. This is particularly present in young children under the age of 1. It's often related to over-zealousness by said older sister.
After much debate, Jared and I decided that it was really time for Zach's first haircut. It was so sad to cut off his beautiful blonde hair, but he does look a lot more groomed and is still super cute.

In his chair before the cut.

The after view. By this point he wasn't too happy with us.

Here is our good looking boy today after church.

Six years old

It's hard to believe that our beautiful Christmas baby is 6 years old already. Wow!
Anwyn turned 6 on Christmas Day, but this year we decided to hold off all birthday celebrations for one month. It made it a lot simpler to be able to separate our Christmas and birthday celebrations.

So January 25th was the big birthday day.
Anwyn got a fun activity play center for her zhu zhu pet hamsters, and a little pet rabbit and kitty. We certainly have a lot of battery powered little critters in our house now! She also got a Mercy Watson book (a great new series by Kate DiCamillo that we are really enjoying).
She requested teriyaki meatballs and rice for dinner, and got to eat on the blue plate.

She had a small party with her two best friends, Claire and Leah, the following Saturday. The theme was a "Pretty Pink Party". The girls came in their pretty princess dress-up clothes, we decorated with pink balloons and streamers, they played and did a pink craft, and finished off with a pink cake.
Anwyn is such a sweet girl, and we are so glad to have her in our family.
