Catching up on the holidays

We have been a little absent from this blog for awhile, pretty much starting with Halloween and continuing through the holiday season. Life has been busy! To sum up, here are the brief highlights:

Christmas was a quiet affair at home. Christmas Eve we ate Chinese food, then sang carols (accompanied by Anwyn), and told the story of the birth of Jesus.

In the morning we enjoyed our new things.

In the afternoon we took the new scooters out for a spin (it's lovely to be in Florida when you have perfect weather for playing outside during the holidays!).

December was a busy month of parties (ward, Jared's lab, school), a piano recital, and making gifts and treats.

We also had our annual Polar Express movie watching pajama party.

We did have some not-fun sick days mixed in, and caught the girls both asleep on the couch together one afternoon.

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Kays. Jared did a great job of brineing the turkey, while Janene and I handled the rest of the meal. Everything was delicious!

In November, Anwyn mastered riding a bike-no training wheels! Lily loves to ride the tricycle, and Zach is pretty content in the stroller. We spend many afternoons outside!

And because I know Janene still wants to see these pictures, here are the Halloween costume pictures that never got posted. We had 2 princesses and a frog (although I'm sure Zach will turn into the prince someday!)

Anwyn as a fairy princess.

Lily as a fairy princess.

Zach as a frog.

There, I'll consider us caught up.
