Anwyn's Soccer Days

Anwyn played her first season of soccer this spring. She had a great time and was really good at running. Her team was the Green Goblins. Here are some photo highlights of the season.

Anwyn said "I really liked soccer. I like everything in soccer--kicking and running".

At the last game, each teammate was presented with a trophy. Anwyn was very proud of hers.

Beach Trip!

We went to the beach yesterday with the Kays. It was our first beach trip for the year. All the kids had a great time playing in the sand and water. We managed to not end up too sunburned.

This is what Zach did most of the time. Kristi dipped Zach's foot in the water once so we can say he went in the ocean.
Lily enjoyed a nice treat.
Lily also had fun playing in the water and digging in the sand.
Anwyn and her best friend Leah had a lot of fun in the waves.
Best friends.
Lily running across the beach.
Anwyn outrunning a wave, leaving a wake behind her.

We had a fun time at the beach. Even if it is an ordeal to prepare for and get to the beach, we all had a great time. It only took 30+ minutes to convince the kids it was time to leave.

Mother's Day 2010: An interview and some photos

Last year I asked Anwyn a set of questions to hear her impressions of me and my work as a mother. I thought it would be fun to repeat the questions for Mother's Day and see if her responses differ. Below is the text of our interview, you can read last years interview here.
How old is your mom? 30 years old

How tall is your mom? 50 inches

What makes mom happy? Hugs and kisses and cards
What is your mom really good at? Singing

What is your mom’s favorite food? Pizza

If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be? Mary Poppins
What do you and your mom do together? Play

What is something that Mom always says to you? I love you

I really love it when... she plays with me and takes me outside.
My mom loves to relax by... taking care of Zach.

The best thing she cooks is... chicken nuggets.

When my mom shops she likes to buy... milk.
My mom’s favorite household chore is... work in the kitchen.

My mom’s favorite movie is... it’s hard to say because you’re a grown-up and you watch grown-up movies.

If she could go on a trip she would go to...Utah.
