Morning Mile Awards, Chorus, and the Last Day of School

The Morning Mile at our elementary school ended up being a great program for our family this year. Anwyn was motivated to run, and the rest of us caught her enthusiasm. We had to work hard to get to school early, usually by 7:10 a.m. (sometimes earlier if we were lucky). All the hard work paid off and was recognized at the end of the year awards ceremony.

They did a few ceremonies throughout the morning, broken up by class levels, so Adam and I went to Lily's first, and then Anwyn's. Lily had a total of 114.75 miles and she came in 2nd place for first grade girls! We were really excited for her, and she was pretty happy with her medal.

Anwyn logged 202.75 miles and she came in first for fourth grade girls!

Both girls put forth great effort, and we are thankful to have been able to have this great program at our school, supported by great teachers and parent volunteers.
Zach has also been a determined runner at morning mile. He didn't run every day, but he did go regularly and ran well. Two different days he completed 9 laps, which is over 2 miles (in 30 minutes)!

In May the school held a STEM night. Anwyn sang as a member of the Talbot Tiger Chorus.

The last day of school for the girls was on June 4th. These girls are ready for summer!
Last day of first grade for Lily.
Last day of fourth grade for Anwyn.
