We like to do our big dinner on Christmas Eve. We had sweet and sour ribs, rice, lettuce salad, and crescent rolls. I get a practice session making rolls every holiday--I'm pleased to say this batch turned out really well. For dessert we had our traditional crunchy peppermint ice cream balls. We told the Christmas story from the scriptures using a mixture of our wood and Little People nativity sets and sang Christmas carols.The girls went to bed easily by 8pm and were up just before 7am--it's nice that they are still young enough they don't try to get up early for the special day.
We enjoyed all of our nice gifts.
Our family grew by three dolls--I passed along my two Cabbage Patch dolls from when I was girl, and we had another one plus a doll bunk bed and stroller passed to us from some friends.
Anwyn calls them her "kids", and she stays busy taking care of them all, plus Hokokokone, of course.Jared enjoyed some new piano music.
This little ride-on car has been a big hit with both girls.
We relaxed for the afternoon, then shifted into birthday mode for Anwyn. Her choice was spaghetti for dinner (which is always served with broccoli at our house).
She opened a few more gifts, and then we invited our friends the Lindsays over to have birthday cake and play. We all had a nice time, and Anwyn is thrilled to be 4!
