Mother's Day Interview 2014

The annual Mother's Day Interview is here! Zach (age 4) had a tricky time with the questions and mostly answered them about himself. Lily is 6 years old and gave the humorous responses (I haven't made lasagna in years, but Jared made it for dinner tonight). At age 9, Anwyn knows me pretty well.

 How old is your mom?
Zach: 14
Lily: 32
Anwyn: 34

How tall is your mom?
Zach: This tall (putting his hand on his head)
Lily: 4 feet
Anwyn: 5 feet 4 inches

What makes mom happy?
Zach: eating ice cream
Lily: Reading books to me
Anwyn: kids that aren't grumpy

What is your mom really good at?
Zach: I know you can do jump rope. (Later he said, "doing cartwheels")
Lily: Getting dressed
Anwyn: Taking care of us

What is your mom’s favorite food?
Zach: carrots
Lily: salad
Anwyn: Cheesecake

If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
Zach: Wreck-it Ralph
Lily: Katara (from Avatar)
Anwyn: I don't know

 What do you and your mom do together?
Zach: Play games
Lily: Read books
Anwyn: Read books

What is something that Mom always says to you?
Zach: ??
Lily: It's time to clean your room.
Anwyn: I love you.

 My mom loves to relax by... Don't know (Zach); take a nap and write on a computer (Lily); read books (Anwyn).

The best thing she cooks is... nutella sandwich (Zach); lasagna (Lily); teriyaki meatballs (Anwyn) 

When my mom shops she likes to buy... bread from the bread store (Zach); lettuce from Publix (Lily); anything that we need to make our food (Anwyn)

My mom’s favorite household chore is... watch movies, play games (Zach); clean the bathrooms (Lily); cook for us (Anwyn)

If she could go on a trip she would go to... Washington, D.C. (Zach); Canada, like we are going to soon (Lily); Alberta, Canada (Anwyn)

It was a really nice Mother's Day. The flowers in the photos above are from Jared and spruce up our front yard. Jared made special MOM shaped biscuits for breakfast.

The children made me lovely cards and pictures.

Lily has been writing lots of notes lately. I love her spelling:

We finished off the evening with a lovely lasagna dinner prepared by Jared. It was a nice day. We are so thankful for the wonderful mothers that we know in our lives, and for their great examples!
