The night before the night before the first day of school

8:05 pm   The girls are in bed. They both insist that they are scared and need mommy to stay in the room with them. Dad goes in instead.

8:30 pm     Mom changes the baby, feeds him, and tucks him in bed.

8:45 pm     The girls are asleep. The baby is asleep. Dad is asleep on the floor. Mom proceeds to spend a thrilling evening mostly working on our finances (recording receipts, paying bills, depositing checks, etc).

11:00 pm      Mom goes to bed.

1:35 am      Feed the baby.

4:30 am      Anwyn comes in and says she is scared. She goes to back to sleep in our room, lying on the large body pillow on the floor.

5:30 am      Zach wakes up. Change his diaper. Lily wakes up and wants mom to stay in her room. Mom needs to feed the baby instead, so Lily goes back to sleep in the bed with Daddy.

5:35 am      Feed Zach, who suddenly doesn’t seem too hungry and is mostly just smiley.

5:45 am      Tuck the baby back in bed. Mom looks around the room and realizes that there is no place for her to sleep in the room. Heads to the girls room and crawls Anwyns vacant bed.

5:55 am      Anwyn comes back to her room and says she is still “so scared”, so she climbs back in her bed with me.

6:45 am      All three children are awake for the day.

7:30 am      Dad makes some delicious pancakes for breakfast, while we listen to Primary songs. A good way to start the Sabbath day.

Ugggghhh!!

That is the worst - up and down and up and down and up and down. And you can't help but look at the alarm clock each time, wondering when the night is going to end!!

Hope you get some rest soon.
